MusicLexis is dedicated to all language learners around the world. It is a unique dictionary that offers musical examples from popular songs in all its lexical items in order to facilitate learners' consolidation and memorisation of new vocabulary. In this way it aspires to the world languages, even languages which are less well-known, more accessible and more fun to learn through music!
MusicLexis was created in 2015 by Areti Sidiropoulou.
Two European eTwinning projects on the MusicLexis dictionary were implemented in 2016-2018 and 2021. Students from different schools in Europe took part in collaborative activities and became little lexicographers adding entries and translations to the dictionary. The two projects were awarded the European Quality Label.
